Hamburg meets and links - go-cluster Project
Together with the IT cluster "Brains Business" from Aalborg / Denmark, the Logistics Initiative Hamburg has organised delegation trips and match-making events in 2015 as part of the project "Hamburg meets and links". Companies and research institutions from the Hamburg metropolitan region were given the opportunity to establish contacts with potential partners from the Danish region. The strategic orientation of the two clusters offers great development opportunities for identifying cross-cluster innovation topics in the field of intelligent transport and logistics solutions.

Project objectives and results
The aim of the "Hamburg meets and links" project was, among other things, to identify possible project ideas, the concrete implementation of further funding applications for research and development projects and the intensification of economic relations between the participating regions.
"We want to create opportunities to establish new business relations and develop innovative ideas on an international level." This is how Carmen Schmidt, Managing Director of the Logistics Initiative Hamburg, described the project "Hamburg meets and links". The Go-Cluster project application for this was approved by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy in 2015.
In order to realize new cooperations in the field of intelligent transport and logistics solutions, the project was looking for companies and universities interested in matchmaking with Danish IT companies and research institutions. "Hamburg meets and links" offered them a wide range of opportunities for cooperation and ensured a direct dialogue between the participating companies and research institutions.
The matchmaking events focused on the topics of Smart Port and Warehousing Solutions.
