Overview of LIHH Expert Panels
The Logistics Initiative Hamburg has created a broad array of expert panels which focus on addressing, evaluating, further developing and integrating current topics from the transport and logistics sector.
With the help of our expert panels, we contribute to the development of expertise and opinions in the two respective fields. Expert panels often serve as a starting point for practical pilot projects. The overarching goal is to create synergies in Hamburg, both with and for the members of the LIHH's network. Each panel is headed by a designated Expert Panel Director, as well as up to two deputies. Participation requirements may vary between expert panels.

RAIL
The Rail Panel represents the shared interests of rail-based hinterland transport to and from German seaports. The Expert Panel helps strengthen the implementation of measures aimed at improving the performance and cost-efficiency of rail freight transport in and around seaports by ensuring the necessary infrastructure. The Expert Panel currently focuses on Hamburg and Bremerhaven.

URBAN DELIVERY
The aim of the Urban Delivery Expert Panel is to jointly exchange and collaborate on topics and various aspects of urban delivery traffic and logistics. The panel seeks to develop project ideas and partnerships among members, and in particular to provide stimuli for the successful implementation of innovative approaches in administrative processes.

INDUSTRIAL REAL ESTATE
Cities, especially major cities like Hamburg, are vibrant hubs of our society. The transport of goods and parcels by CEP services (courier, express, and parcel delivery) is a key component of the dynamic development of urban areas. The Logistics Real Estate Panel aims to support the dialogue between urban logistics and the real estate sector, to consolidate their interests through practical examples, and to communicate these to policymakers and public authorities.

RISK AND COMPLIANCE
Supporting the logistics sector in Hamburg with important legal, financial, and insurance-related issues provides a crucial foundation for the future operational and competitive capability of logistics companies. The Risk & Compliance Panel aims to further improve the framework conditions with regard to the specific requirements of Hamburg’s logistics industry.

EMPLOYER BRANDING
Creating an attractive employer brand is crucial for attracting qualified employees and retaining them over the long term. Employer branding plays an important role in this process, as it shapes and influences a company’s image and reputation as an employer. (ab hier keine direkte Übersetzung, Idee) Our Employer Branding Panel strives to discuss and implement ideas that enhance the company’s public image and strengthen its appeal in the job market.

INTRALOGISTICS
Intralogistics, as an integral part of internal logistics processes, faces a variety of challenges and opportunities. The growing e-commerce sector, increasing customer demands for delivery speed and reliability, as well as the shortage of skilled workers, require innovative solutions and adaptations which the Intralogistics Expert Panel develops and provides to its members.
Please note that our committees are exclusively reserved for members and have limited admission. Admission decisions are made by the committee leadership.
